Needle Felted Sheep

This year was my first trip to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival and I was most fascinated by the Winter Design Studio booth. I could not resist getting a needle felting kit. So I picked up the small Sheep one, figuring it would be a good, easy one to start with, and it was just too cute to pass up!! The kit had everything you needed to get started, which is very nice for a beginner. I had a blast making this little guy, except for the one time I poked myself. Believe me, one poke with one of these needles, and your fingers know better than to get in the way again. Youch!
But the little guy went fairly quickly, when I was brave enough to pick him up. I was so afraid of messing up, but that's kind of hard to do. So here he is!! Absolutely adorable! I can't wait to make something else. Thankfully I picked up some wool knots at the festival, so I can maybe try some flowers or monograms. I also have some of the wool leftover from the kit....maybe I'll make a baby sheep too!! I'm loving the Sheep Pillow kit she has on her site, but I think I need a little more practice before tackling something that big!!

Oh my, she is too cute! You did a great job!
Of course, you couldn't pass up! I looked at her site, everything looks so lifelike, especially that Cocker!
