Merry Christmas!!

What a wonderful Christmas! My inlaws were down and we had a very wonderful time, and dinner! Check out the spread!! And we had all the fixings! Mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, stuffing, cranberry, smoked turkey and corn bake! Yummy! What a meal! I even convinced them to let me carry on one of our traditions of opening a present on Christmas Eve! There was a theme going on...Kris got undies, and so did I! Pink lined camo panties! I love them!! Anyways, we both got some very awesome gifts which we are very thankful for!

My best was the homemade swift from my father-in-law. It was made out of Black Walnut, and has multiple adjustments for the yarn, so it will definitely fit any size hank! The purple yarn is Cascade 220, one of my mother-in-law's presents for her Nantasket Basket. The olive yarn is Malabrigo, for DH's ribbed hat. He definitely put some time into it because it's gorgeous...check it out in action!

My wonderful hubby got me a ball winder, so of course we wound yarn all day! It was such a blast! The swift works amazingly well! I also got some of Ellyn Cooper's Texas Big Horn yarn in Primrose, which I've yet to snap a picture of, but I'll try to get one. Along with Wrap Style, because my LYS had one of the shawl's in there and I fell in LOVE with this yarn! It's gorgeous!
And then, my wonderful DH also found a way to combine my two great loves knitting and mountain biking, with my new sheep socks! (By the way, say that 3 times fast!!) Aren't they gorgeous!

Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas as well! And I hope everyone took some time to remember what Christmas is all about...Christ, and His birth, and what that means to each and every one of us!
